A VISUAL HISTORY OF TYPE March 11 2011

On Friday, March 18th the Firecracker Press is hosting a reception from 5-10pm for St. Louis Typefoundries, a display of type designed and made in St. Louis. This exhibit is a visual history of type in St. Louis, with example type kindly provided by Carole and Robert Mullen as well as Dick Niehaus of the St. Louis Letterpress Society and supplemented by our own, before being hand set and printed. Some of these typefaces will look familiar, either from their digital form or their use in television and other media. So come get a little learnin' while enjoying SGC's night on Cherokee Street, before heading off for a screen printed taco or while waiting to hear our band play. We'll see you there!
